The driver CPC has been developed to improve the knowledge and skills of professional drivers. The legislation is in two parts:

The Initial Qualification must be achieved by new LGV and PCV drivers along with their vocational licence to enable them to use their licence professionally.

Periodic Training; 35 hours of training every 5 years must be attended by all professional drivers.

Periodic Training with CTD

Each driver must complete 35 hours of training to be fully compliant with the requirements of the Driver CPC. This training is delivered by CTD in daily sessions of 7 hours and can be made up from a variety of subject modules. These daily sessions can be delivered as 5 individual sessions or one block booking of 5 consecutive days.

Our approved modules have been designed to cover subjects including Driver Hours, First Aid, Load Restraint & Security, ADR, Tacho Use, Manual Handling, Emergency Procedures, Pre/Post Departure Checks etc.

All of the above can be delivered at either our Bournemouth Training Centre or at clients premises depending on the facilities and numbers attending.
