Site Safety Plus

CTD offers a series of Site Safety Plus courses which are aimed at all levels of the workforce. They are designed to raise awareness and improve the management of health and safety on construction sites.  These courses also fulfil an employer’s duty to provide ‘appropriate training and knowledge of Health and Safety at Work’,  as prescribed under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Health &Safety Awareness
A one day course for general construction operatives that helps them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site.

Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
A two day course intended for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. It provides an understanding of health & safety, welfare and environmental issues. This course is endorsed by the Major Contractors Group.

Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
A five day course designed for site managers, agents and persons who are responsible for planning, organising and administering groups of staff and workforces. It highlights the need for risk assessment and its proper implementation.

Plant Manager Safety Training Scheme (PMSTS)
A five day course which helps plant managers understand and organise responsibility for health and safety on site, with particular reference to plant operatives, supervisors, instructors and managers.

Refresher Courses are offered in SMSTS and PMSTS
